Re: The Job with the Work Bank
I like the one part where he tells you "You will confess it later." Is this guy supposed to be a banker or a clergyman?

Re: Sending low-quality IDs
I also like the advice posted in the "* FAKE PASSPORTS AND IDS *" thread (near the top of the Main Scambaiting Forum). I also use the following site (that was recommended to me here) to create various fake documents (the "files" don't actually contain anything at all): https://ww...

Re: I want an email to scambait i haven't gotten one yet
The spam e-mails that I've gotten I've received in one of two legit e-mail addresses I have - one with Hotmail, one with Yahoo; off the top of my head I'd say I get slightly more of the types of scam e-mails that can be scambaited (vs. general spam e=mails for stuff like home loans, porn, or "v...

Re: FAKE HONG KONG BANKERS - ADVANCE FEE SCAM
To add a bit to what Bertje said, I also use the following website to create "fake" documents (in .docx, .jpg., .pdf, etc.) that was also recommended to me here: https://www.fakefilegenerator.com/generate-file.php The "files" don't actually contain anything at all, and if the sca...

Re: Creating a fake email account
I like both GMX.com and Protonmail.com whenever needing free disposable e-mails for any reason, including baiting. And like Bertje said, I'd also recommend not clicking on any links sent by scammers. I'd also add not to download any attachments that they might send along. They might be harmless, but...

Re: FAKE BANKERS - ADVANCE FEE SCAMMERS
I've had something similar happen to me, though. Originally, I'd played along with just such a scam (with scammers claiming to be the chairman and CEO of a bank, and after a quick Internet search I found that there was an actual bank by that name with an individual with that name listed as chairman ...

Re: "The Business in my Office!"
Seems I did speak a little early on this, as I did just get a response from both "Mrs Margaret" and "Don Wallace" directing me to a new e-mail address for their bank. I sent "Don" an e-mail referencing the second bank account he sent me with more tales of woe about how ...

OK, just dealt with one spammer that I think has run its course, and did get a bit of interesting info in the process. ;) The spammer's e-mails in red, my replies in blue, with other comments from me in black. Re: "Unimportant" heart surgery
Very good. One thing to do, if you haven't already, is whenever you get what looks to be actual bank account information is to contact one of the moderator or site administrators here and provide them with that information so that they can arrange to get it shut down.

[No need to quote conversation above 8-) -Kitty] All e-mails involved are presented here (with, of course, the sole editing of any sort being the removal of the contact address & phone number, which were the actual public address & phone number of the Norfolk, VA field office of the FBI as ...

Re: * WELCOME NEW MEMBER. PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE *
Hi! I'm new here! (Although I've already put up a couple of other posts here just prior to this one). Just started getting into scambaiting (actually found this site while searching for online advice on how to do that). Going through the site and seeing what I can learn (which certainly looks to be ...

Re: How did y'all come to Scambaiting?
For me, I'd seen a couple of websites that talked about people doing it (as well as having briefly scanned a book at Barnes and Noble that someone had actually published where they had done it a lot), as well as having seen a few YouTube videos where the person records themselves messing around with...

Re: "Next of Kin" scam
After a week of not hearing back from the guy, I did send one final e-mail to him (though I still have yet to hear from him): Probably best if you choose another occupation than any kind of law enforcement employee if you want to keep the lad engaged. That's assuming they even bother to read your f...

"Next of Kin" scam
Hi! Newbie here. Here is my first effort at pranking scammers. It's not a long one when compared to some of the stuff I've read here, but hopefully it is a good one. The scammer's e-mails are in blue, while my responses are in red (with one note from me to you guys in black partway down to help put ...
