Re: It's just a little prick (Safari content)
As bobdemol says, it should be simple to identify a fake document. And ultimately, even if the scammer comes up with a document that fools the baiter, it isn't us that the scammer really has to convince, it is the airline/border control when he travels and they are even less likely to fall for fake ...

Moved here and locked as it is a phishing attempt, not AFF and not baitable.
The email address is irrelevant, it will be throw away or spoofed. The scammer only interested in getting victims to call him so he can get their card details etc.

He's not admitting it's a scam, it's a typo or a Freudian slip. He means "a scan copy".

Re: Reporting email addresses
Getting email addresses shut down is counter-productive and not something that we do (with the exception of email addresses on domains that the lads have paid for themselves). The lad's email addresses will very likely be listed on anti-scam sites like Scamwarners for victims to find. If it is close...

Re: hostgoodies.com Sent Full Text of Report to Scammer?
It may be new to Kitty, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. There was a reason why we used to recommend that site killers set up a specific email address for their site killing and I can recall at least one other site killer who had their email forwarded to the site owner. Even some of the...

Where do they claim to be an international business? Plenty of hosting companies operate just in their local markets and quote phone numbers and prices in local formats. Also many domain Registrars opted to redact all registrants info regardless of location when GDPR and other privacy laws came in r...

Do not post email addresses, profile links, or phone numbers without sourcing them to a scam mail, fake site, ...

Re: Are my deceased relatives considered ITP?
Why send photos at all? All you are doing is giving the scammer something valuable that he could use on future victims - photos that are untraceable by reverse image search. Also, if the photos were to be used by scammers, there's a very good chance that they will end up on scamwarners.com or simila...

I regularly used "Hello sweaty" as a term of endearment with romance scammers, at least a couple picked up on it and started replying similarly. Hopefully they also used it with a few of their real victims.

In terms of the most disruptive, that's getting bank accounts. The others are a minor irritation to them (although anything that wastes the scammer's time is great as it means less time to focus on real victims) and may waste a few minutes (or hours) out of their day. Losing a bank account though co...

Do these people keep any kinds of records that could link my real name to the gmail address I am using. There's a very good chance that they do and that will not only give them your personal details but quite possibly those of your family, friends, employer. So the safest thing to do is keep your R...

Re: Anyone been a "bot" trying to scambait?
Most email providers (and social media sites for that matter) have security in place to protect users from being hacked, so by switching from your usual browser to a different one, you must have raised suspicions that your account is being hacked and now they are asking you to secure your account. I...

Re: Google Forms
At a guess, the scammer probably thinks that by asking all of his questions in a form linked to in the email, rather than asking them in the email itself, it is less likely to get automatically flagged as spam.

FCO most likely means Full Corporate Offer, it goes with the scam he's running and the request for a Letter of Intent back. But I'm sure that some delays could by added in by asking the scammer if he is healthy enough to conclude the transaction due to suffering from Fièvre Catarrhale Ovine (French ...
