They do have a lot of shadows don't they? I do hate to see him constantly having to re-do things since he is spending his days at the refugee camp attending to his sick sister and her children. He must be exhausted from helping her, and his mind is obviously on healing the sick and lame among us, not on matters of photography.
Soon he will have other worries..........

The technicians have just reported back to me.

The frontal pictures (facing the camera) and dorsal (back to camera) were sufficient for processing, but the lateral images (sides to camera) are still underexposed. We were not able to compensate and the set can't be processed.

In my previous email I already made some suggestions for making sure the picture you take are useable for our purposes. I recommended you take the pictures outside. I can't help but notice that you have taken the second set of pictures in the same location and with the same lighting considtions as the first set. This location, while appearing to be outside, seems to be covered with some sort of tarp or cloth which is blocking much light. I would suggest you find a location that has direct sunlight without anything blocking it.
I stress again the importance of you providing us with the required BIP-pictures in a timely manner. A delay in the delivery will be unavoidable in the event you don't.

Meanwhile, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concern.

Our Lagos lad shares a mailing address with a church. A street image of the area shows an interesting message painted onto the gable wall of the house next door! Are the neighbours aware of what goes on ????

Good news for our friend
Plog wrote: Dear Mr. E

I have excellent news. While there were some minor issues with your BIP-pictures they have now been processed and your biometric details have been linked to your parcel so we can use them to identify you at the moment of delivery.

I have cleared your parcel for delivery. Due to some minor issues the parcel is going to reach out Cotonou hub a bit later than planned, but this should not impact delivery at all.

Please feel free to contact cumberband@plog to make arrangements for the delivery or your parcel if he has not contacted you already.

I hope you are enjoying our 5-star service and would welcome any suggestion might have for us to improve.

Kind regards
The 5 star service is really paying of in customer satisfaction

The lad is excited, no doubt about it. He is so excited he has so far forgotten to send details (once again!) on his million dollar fund. He wrote to the sender
dear sir,

all protocols observed.

just to update you on status of the parce.

i have sent several pics, thrice now of state-of-the-art Biometric
Identification Procedure (BIP)of myself,still waiting for response,but
the parcel is now in ghana enroute to cotonu.
How could he forget the important stuff? A penny ante shipment worth $10,000 vs a $15 million fund ? Bizarre. I wrote back
Thank you for the update on this matter. I had to send it via "regular" shipping rather than expedited due to costs, but it looks as though it is getting there notwithstanding.
Please update me on this and other matters as we have discussed.
We shall see what surprises are in store for him.............

Our friend is impatient, and has sent multiple emails to Chris and Bernard (at 5am his time) and expecting an immediate answer. His concerns have been addressed, and the driver, mr. Doozie, has just sent him this:
Doozie wrote:
GOOD MORNING SIR

AM COMING WIT PARCEL FOR U NA ONIPANU. BOSS SAY 1.30PM
PLEECE BE ON LOCATION FOR PICKUP AN SCAN

WILL UPDATE LOCATION FOR U! AM STARTING NOW FROM COTONU
I my language (Dutch) we have a saying: "there may be bears on the road" , meaning that there might be obstacles toward obtaining a goal. In this case, however, the bears may turn out to be goats.......

A flurry of emails to every Plog staff he has the emailaddress for, while tracking the parcel every minute.
Lad wrote: dear sir,

whats happening?
Chriss Bacconne, manager Plog wrote: Dear mr. E

Thank you for contacting me.

I can understand your questions and frustration. However, we have received a message from our Customer, the Sender of the parcel (mr. Cornell) with the explicit instructions to freeze the delivery of the parcel until further notice.

As the Sender is the person paying for the delivery of the parcel, according to Paragraph 3, article 2, section 3a of our General Terms and Conditions he is entitled to Suspend delivery of the parcel until the moment of delivery. As the delivery had not occurred yet, we acted in accordance with his instructions.

The Sender has requested that you contact him. I would recommend you do so.
Meanwhile, we will keep your parcel in secure custody until we receive further instructions from the Sender.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.
Sparky is unavailable for the most of the day, and Plog will not respond (much) to our friend untill they have received instructions from their Customer.

The parcel was within his reach, and now is gone...will our friend be able to retrieve it?

lad wrote: this is the biggest blow of my life.

as for your 5star company, its really unfair, the parcel that is at my
street to deliver was recalled back, its just inhumane, that all acted
that way without reasoning, despite the stress i had with the bip pics
and other things that happened in the course of this delivery.

its still shocking and amazing to me,with this done at the eleventh hour.
Happy customer! :D
Chriss wrote: Dear mr. E

While I can understand your disappointment, there is nothing at this moment we can do for you, as we are bound by the instructions of the Sender.

I want to reiterate that it is not our decision to stop delivery of the parcel, but that this is the explicit wish of the Sender, the person who has paid us for our services and which whom we have a legally binding Service Contract. We are bound by the Terms of this Contract.

I can assure you that nothing would bring me greater joy than to deliver the parcel to your doorstep, which we will gladly do once the Sender instructs us to do so.

please dont think,i will ever reply ur mail after this final mail to u again.
we are done, real done and its done.bye for good.
What did I miss ??? LOL

The lad sent two emotionally charged and nasty emails to me while I was away today. I figured there might be messages like this when I got home, and he says he will not contact me again. I bet he will though!

I wrote a long explanatory note to him so he can see it is all his fault. In the light of a new day I am sure he will see this and repent. Maybe.
I apologise for being absent for most of the day, but perhaps you have calmed down enough to speak rationally rather than emotionally. You are correct that you are entitled to know what is going on. I will explain. However what you fail to understand is this your fault, not mine. For weeks I have asked for details of the fund but you have refused. You could have contacted the lawyer previous to his infection but you did not. You could have contacted the security company, but you did not. When you were in a panic about demurrage fees I asked multiple times for the actual numbers and you have ignored those requests. Two such requests were sent today.

The timing of this was not to be cruel, it was to be done sooner, but the driver was ahead of what I thought was the schedule. (the five star service is so efficient....) I do apologise for that part of this. I have frozen the package, not recalled it. What I want from you is exactly what you have asked of me: patience. When you send the financial information on the fund which apparently is held by the lawyer and you say will be in my hands on the 29th, I will release the package for you. (of course that doesn't mean he will get it.....) I sent a couple of emails to you earlier today which were ignored, but you found time to wait at home for a package. You ignored me. You have ignored my questions for some time now. I told you if you continued to avoid answering there would be consequences. Now you see exactly what your avoidance has brought. (See, it is his fault after all!)

There is no trick here on my part. I am a man of my word. Get me those documents and I will release the package. It is a shame your behaviours have driven such a kind and generous man as myself to take such action, but you have caused this. Honour your part of the agreement and I will honour mine. As you urged me, show a little patience and let your lawyer fix this entire situation to the satisfaction of both of us by sending me the info required and you the package required.

Finally, you wrote to me that my sick sister.she is having high blood pressure now,she really sad and in a bad mood.

I am sorry if your lack of attention to my inquiries has caused issues for your sister. However, you now know how to fix this: have your lawyer send the papers and the package is released to you. I can also promise, there are no fees to you for holding the package, that is my concern and I will settle with the company as a show of good faith. (How much more could I offer him under the circumstances? I will cover any fees to show I am still his friend.......)

Instead of being angry, get your lawyer moving and all will be well. We will put this behind us and get your sister out of the refugee camp at long last.
I am certain he will respond, the big question is will he tell me to drop dead or will he do some pathetic photo shop images to prove the fund is real???

Silence so far. One gets the impression he is angry. One of his notes stated he sees this is all a game to me, first with the moneygram transfer, now with the package. Since he wanted silence, I decided to write to him and let him know that he is not the victim here, the good people who sent money and goods to him are.
So what does this mean? It means none of your story is true and you were willing to steal from my friends and I. You lied. You almost stole. This was nothing but a game to you!!! You played upon my basic human kindness and tried to exploit it. I am confused why you would do this. Why would you lie to me, someone who thought he was your friend.
I want the focus to be on those who were almost scammed, not on his feelings! LOL I hope he responds since there is so much more fun to be had!
