I am not new to this. I started baiting a long time ago, then took a break for a couple of years. Started again, then took another break due to time limitations.

But I always felt the itch . I recently got another scam mail in my personal account and that got me finally hooked again. I even got an actual paper letter just a few days ago .

It's good to be back.

Nice new forum, although it's a pitty that the content could not be transferred. But I understand the technical limitations. Please keep the old forums up for as long as possible.

I've only done some light scam baiting, like messing with tech support or credit card scammers when they call me, but nothing really major.

I'm hoping I can learn from you fine folks and get much better at wasting lots of lad time.

For gathering scamemails I would recommend using a second emailaddress. Only used for that purpose.while you are waiting for the emails to arrive, you could head on over to www.scamwarners.com and pick up a friend there.

Totally new to this. I was just approached by a scammer for a job. It was more convincing than I thought it would be. They had good information. I avoided it okay and have warned people I know who may have been approached as well.

Anyway, that got me interested in these annoying little twerps. I really want to bug some of them. I have been reading the FAQ and a couple of longer posts.

First off, KUDOS for avoiding a work scam, and for helping to warn others. That's awesome! While we don't ever recommend baiting someone who has attempted to / scammed you in real life, there are plenty of similar bad guys out there who you can go after. Since you weren't taken in by the scam, you've got a good sense of what "could have been" without having the pain of financial loss or heartache.

Be sure to get a good baiting email account going, keep reading the rules and start slow. We're glad you're joining us!

I won't be going after those who tried to get me. They already dropped the account. It shows that they haven't signed on since I bothered them.
