Good job you drunk Internet techs, the nesting of quotation works great. Now, will you please quit spilling drinks on the computer keyboards. I don't like to use sticky keys. There is a shift function if a user wants to utilize the sticky key function.

Please make sure you bait safely. this means using an emailaccount exclusively for baiting, which is not related to your real life. If you have any questions, let us know. We are here to help!

being new to this board I just wanted to share my experience with Skype and 419. Still I do not know if I fell pray to an imposter. I am running a non-profit organization and look for sponsors. I was checking Skype for some prospects and came to a profile of a person who showed up as Jeff Bezos. I can not detect if this person is real or not. I wanted to know what your experience is. Is it allowed for anybody to use somebody elses ID on Skype? Is it allowed on Skype for scammers to take the ID, name and picture of a prominent person to find 419 victims? How to determine if the person on the profile is real? I would very much like to hear an opinion on this. Thank you. Very best regards by Palominoo.

To answer that last question for Palominoo: I haven't read Skype's TOS lately, but in general they do frown on claiming someone else's identity. Are you hoping to contact Jeff Bezos on Skype? I suspect that isn't a likely scenario and I'd be willing to bet it isn't actually him. However, that doesn't mean the user is committing fraud - it could be a kid who is testing out the waters and "Bart Simpson" was already taken.

Unless you can show the Skype account is committing fraud of some sort, there really isn't much to be done. Did this person contact you directly or ask you for money? Can you elaborate on how you might have fallen for fraud here?

I'm Bob from Tiraspol, Transnistria (obviously ) I'm new at scambaiting. I replied to a few scam emails throughout the years but had no serious results. I have an IT background though networking was never my speciality. Recently scammers started to phone me with the social security number scam and I've decided to use this opportunity to do some scambaiting. I wish to gain more knowledge on this field so that I can be more effective at getting scammers waste time on me and disturb their operation. I've created a VM for scambaiting and I'm trying to assess what tools I should use (like VoIP, changing caller id, altering my voice, etc). I hope this will turn out to be an interesting and useful hobby.
