Lads using AI in replies - example

This is a job scam for babysitting. Normally I wouldn't push back like this so early in a bait, but my character is young and the lad asked her for a photo after showing himself as a married man with children (photo is of a 50+ year old man with a 30 year old wife and two babies, badly photoshopped) and I've already told him I won't send photos to creepy old men.

We've burned through one Zelle and one bank account already, and he's now badgering my client to hurry up and send money. He contacted her during 'school hours' and she told him she could get detention for using her phone in class. I sense the bait is coming to an end, so figured I'd try this tactic to see what he would do:

You are an older man who asked a high schooler for photos which is creepy. Now you're demanding me to get on my phone which I am not allowed to use during school hours or they will send me to detention, and I took a big risk to tell you what was going on and you are accusing me. I am not feeling comfortable with you because I am concerned you will be a sexual molester once I am in your home. I need to know you are legitimate.

I understand your concerns, and I’m sorry that my messages made you feel uncomfortable or pressured. You were right to speak up, especially if you are still in school and have restrictions on using your phone during school hours.

I do not want you to feel obligated to continue with anything that makes you uncomfortable. Your safety and peace of mind come first. I just wanted you to get the money sent out so everything should get prepared before our arrival

I apologize for accusing you instead of listening to your concerns.

So I’ll be waiting for you to make the payment now thanks you, and I hope you have a great day

I wish I had more faith that the AI account could be flagged - I'd play up the fact that I'm underaged, misspell a bunch of stuff and make him run it through AI - but for now I'll just keep stalling and see if he sends another account. The only sentences he added are the ones with no punctuation of course.

This AI mess drives me crazy because there feels like there's really no way to compete with it. It allows the bait to go on in the most boring, scripted fashion ever. And it's doubly worse with the romance lads. I've found several using character.ai and similar services to chat and just generate endless lines of cheesy material. One of my baiting friends, unfortunately not on this website, will often directly call lads out on this BS and they'll often apologize and revert to plain English, thank God.

To combat this, I've been using AI back, occasionally to summarize long email chains or write emails for me. The best way to view things right now in my mind is to view AI as a tool and try to use your own AI against the scammers.
