The story of Melody Crowe

Post by DerekTrotter1981 » Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:54 pm

You've seen a scambaiting attempt by me which included Derek Trotter/Del Boy and Herman Boyce/Boycie. Now, prepare to see a new scambait; this one is in the early stages and includes new characters. This time, the story involves Melody Crowe.

Again, any bold characters are me while italics is/are the scammer/s; overtime, we'll see what else happens...

Melody Crowe: The main player. I had actually used the Melody Crowe identity for another scambaiting session ages ago before I made this account
Sheev Palpatine: A family friend of Melody's.

Shirley Perez Fosgate: A 68 year old widow dying of pancreatic cancer who only has one more month left.
Christopher Walker: Shirley's lawyer

Like with the Derek identity, I signed the Melody identity up to the Muguguestbook. This is the first email that came in to her mailbox:
Address: 11 Temple Drive Greenmeadows
Subdivision 8510 Quezon City, Philippines

My Dear Beloved in Christ

Greetings to you and your family. I am Mrs. Shirley Perez Fosgate,Marry to Mr.Raoul Fosgate from Philippines, I am 68 years old, my late Husband was a Director with Construction Company here before his Sudden Death after a brief of illness that lasted for only four days, but before his death, he Deposited the Sum of £5,200,000.00 GBP with one of the Bank here in Philippines with my name and i am suffering from pancreatic cancer, My condition is really bad and it is quite obvious that I won’t live more than two months according to my doctor, and i have no Child who is going to take care of this Huge amount of Money, I am willing to donate the sum of £5,200,000.00 GBP for you to help widows and the less privileged ones in the rural and urban areas and to carry out charity works in your Country and around the World on my Behalf.

Waiting for your Urgent Responds.
Remain blessed in the name of the Lord.
Yours in Christ

Mrs Shirley Fosgate
Melody replied to Shirley and said:
Hello Shirley

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear of your ill health. It is a terrible shame that your life span is awfully short; is there anyway I can help?

Melody Crowe.
Shirley replied with a wall of text which Melody had to process and take a while to process. This is that email:
Dear Melody

Thanks for your rapid response to my mail and I am so glad to you that you willingly responded to my mail and I will start by thanking the Almighty God for sending you to me for this Glorious assignment which I have decided to offer for the people of God and those of less privileged and from the sound of your mail I am 100% sure that I will never regret contacting you with this project and I want you to take care of poor widows and train poor children in schools and feed the hungry and give shelter to the homeless ones

I want you to understand the fact that I am right here in my sick bed and the doctors has declared me unfit and that means that I am not able to move here and there rather I have been in my dying sick bed for a while now and when I discovered that I may not live much longer as my doctors said I decided to offer up all that I had and like I said in my previous mail that I and my late husband were so rich before his sudden death after which I inherited all our wealth and during the days of our marriage life we could not bear any kid so I was left alone without a comforter but God and His Angel has always been there for me till date and I want to assure you that my bank are genuine so do not worry.

So as I speak now for the fear of death I have already giving out all that I have except this fund that is left in my late husband account which I have decided to send to you and I understand the situation of some people in your area so considering this I made up my mind to search for a trusted person who could handle this and during my research I came across your mail and am glad you responded.

Now I want to assure you that the money will be transfer to you by bank to bank wire transfer as I have already discuss with the bank here and they have giving me enough confidence and hope that it will be 100% possible so I want you to feel free and send me all the details as I will request below which I will use to introduce you to the bank and also obtain my last WILL from the court of law here as the new beneficiary to the money in my husband and after that I will let you contact the bank for the further transfer of the money to you and you will send your banking details to the bank during your contact with them.

Full Names:
Address:
ID card or passport copy:
Age and occupation
telephone numbers
bank details

As soon as you send this details above I will send you my Will and inform the bank about you and then send you the bank contact so that you can contact them and discuss the transfer proceedings and you must write a letter of promise that you will do only as i will instruct you with the money which I shall let you know as soon as you confirm your willingness in your next mail and i also want you to inform me what and what you can do with the money after its transferred to you

Thanks and God bless you

Mrs. Shirley Perez Fosgate
Following advice from the community including never to send ID to scammers in case they recycle them and use them to scam innocent people, Melody never sent any ID to Shirley and said:
Dear Shirley

I can guarantee you are in safe and capable hands. Just as you claim that you are 100% sure you will never regret contacting me, I advise that you are rest assured that you are in capable hands; however I regret to inform you that some details are going to be put on hold. Such as my ID due to the fact that I have never left my country so I have never had any need for a passport.

Even if I had a passport, I would not be able to get it because I'm living with a family friend who has been told to withhold my ID as much as possible due to fears that I could send money to...illicit people. I could send you my ID but you will have to wait.

I think you already have one detail which is my name, Melody Crowe. If you want to gain my ID, please contact my family friend, Sheev Palpatine. I've copied him on this message for information.

Melody Crowe.
Melody actually had to send this email twice because she claimed to have copied Sheev in on the email, but she forgot so had to resend it, with Sheev copied in. He went on to contact Shirley and here's what he wrote:

Greetings Madam Fosgate

You must forgive my misleading email address. This is an email address that I very rarely use and sometimes even forget even exists. I hear you are willing to donate £5,200,000.00 GBP to Melody.

Please explain more...

Kind regards

Sheev Palpatine

This is a work in progress. Who knows where we'll end up, from here on out? I wanted to get this posted while we're in early days and I can keep track.

Following, just to see how others do this - every day is a school day for me on here!

I recognise the lad name, though - there are some fake ids attributed to 'her' , posted on the old site from some other baiters.

Under "PICTURES, AUDIO & VIDEO PICTURES, AUDIO & VIDEO" » "Paste your passports, RSOT's and starter kit stuff here", page 60 (and quite probably on previous pages too if you care to trawl through them!)

Good luck!

Oh, sorry Claus! Your message came in a bit too late. My apologies; anyway, let's get on with the points;

Oh, is it? Are you new to scambaiting, Claus?

Yeah...I think I'll wait to see what happens, if Shirley even sends me any ID at all.
Good luck!
Thanks. Melody's going to need it. Anyway, moving on:

Shirley didn't reply to Sheev's initial message, so he emailed Shirley directly and here's what he wrote:
I understand that you want some kind of ID for Melody Crowe and you want it for some kind of business. Please would you be kind enough to fill me in on the details.

Kind regards

Sheev Palpatine
No response to Melody and given that Shirley said she was suffering with cancer, a concerned Melody chased:
Hi Shirley

Just want to check to see if you're okay and if you're still alive. Has Sheev written to you for discussion?

Please write back soon

Melody Crowe
"Soon" came about ten minutes ago at 13:50 hours (around ten past two in the afternoon). First, Shirley wrote to Palatine and reiterated her message. This is what she sent him:
My dear Sheev

Mrs Shirley Fosgate
Sheev wrote back to express concern about Shirley's situation and asked if him and Melody could help. Then Shirley wrote back to a concerned Melody to reassure her that she was still alive and to say she wrote to Sheev. So in response, Melody said:
Oh, good. I'm just worried that we'll never get through this business because of your health. For all I know, we could be talking one day and the next day you could have left the world.

Phew!

Continuing on in the story, Shirley replied and just sent the same message that she sent to Melody, asking for name, ID and what have you. Sheev first replied asking why she needed that information and then Melody wrote to Shirley and asked:
Hi Shirley

Why are you asking Sheev for ID? I thought you wanted mine. The whole point of my email to you, was to try to get my ID from him.

After all, you did contact me initially for this business... What's going on?

Just to get her off topic, you might also reply just asking her a bunch of questions about her religion since it seems to much to her along with some ideas you have on how to spend that fortune. Or you could give some story about your own relative who died recently. Or some story about your relative who tried eating beans to cure his cancer and the tragic results. Just to get her off her ID request and moving along in the story.
"Your knife will surely cut off your head trust me. Useless man zombie."
"Shege danburuba, your end has come. The spirit of all the people you kill is after you now and you can not excape it. See you in hell dan esika."

Yeah, I did try to get her off the ID topic by saying that Melody was living with a family friend (Sheev) and if Shirley wanted any of Melody's identification, she would have to get in touch with him.

I may just try some of those ideas if Shirley replies again.

It sounds like this Shirley "chick" is a low level lad responsible for screening potential marks by collecting personal details. When the info is obtained they forward it up the food chain which is "the bank" in this case. Lads like this are harder to get off script because their role doesn't involve collecting payments and they have little to no autonomy. It's probably the perfect job for this lad because he's likely to be infinitely stupid. Not to say that it isn't worth trying to get him to swallow your hook anyway. If you manage to get past the ID stage and move on to the next phase involving the banker character you could definitely plant a bunch of "seeds of mistrust". Shirley is probably expendable as far as the rest of the lad network is concerned. That can be exploited. If you are able to convince the bank that Shirley went rogue by trying to steal the full amount on the down low then he may get booted out of the network. Maybe by then the safari moratorium will have been lifted. A freshly sacked lad is a desperate and pathetic creature who may feel obligated to chase after whatever carrot you invented at the end of your stick :P

Well...we'll have to wait and see until Shirley or another lad replies...

Do you think that lads who pose as dying people, are expendable within the scam operation?

I've noticed the dying widows tend to die some time after they get you in touch with the bank. Obviously if you hit them from another account they are alive and kicking. I think their role is to vet the potential victim and collect as much personal information as they can before they move you up the food chain. Probably not the most important role in the scammer crew. They do play a kind of good cop/bad cop game between the widow and the banker. The widow just wants to donate her fortune, but the banker needs money. When the widow "dies" the victim is left with a choice of complying with the banker, or losing out on the money.

Yeah, the widow/widower is a harmless, nice old woman or man and the banker is an impatient little sod whose mantra is "Payment! NOW!". Lovely contrast!

Shirley's back! And this is what she sent to Melody:
Dear Melody

The only good thing I can do on this earth before I leave is to know that this money must make people who are in need happy. I sincerely hope that you will not refuse my proposal and that you will help me realize this dream.

This money is presently in The United States of America (USA) and it is a Notary who is in charge to organize everything for the transfer. he is a trustworthy man because I have been working with him for several years. So you have to get in touch with him to organize everything.

Here is the Notary's contact information:

Barister Christopher Walker.

Email: [email protected]

You should contact him as soon as you receive this message and get back to me.

Please tell me a little about yourself and your family in your next message.

I ask you to keep this story confidential because I do not want the press to unpack everything before the big day why I ask you to keep it secret.

That is the story of my life. I will not be able to continue this mail because I feel tired. I wish you and your family a great day
Regards dear loved one.

Mrs Shirley Fosgate
Following advice to try to steer the lad away, Melody tried to ask Shirley something; she just asked:

Shirley

Can I ask you a few questions?

Lads are so damn lazy it's like they are actively trying to piss you off. Obviously, Shirley and this new Barrister character may be two different lads but whether it is one lad or two in total he/they want your money so let them work for it. Wait for the Barrister to contact you because you are not a puppet. Lawyers are motivated by billable hours so to stay in character the good Barrister should have sent you multiple emails by now so as to pad his expense tracking spreadsheet with inflated numbers. These people work for you the baiter...don't let them lose sight of that fact.
Further up you wrote:Do you think that lads who pose as dying people, are expendable within the scam operation?
Obviously the fake dying character is expendable but I was talking about something different when I mentioned that the lad behind Shirley may be low on the totem pole. What I meant is that the Shirley lad may be entry level who does nothing more than collect potential victim info to pass further up the chain. My suggestion was to trick the banker/barrister lad into thinking that Shirley lad tried to steal all the $ for himself. If Shirley lad is truly on the ground floor then any alleged attempts to bypass the network and steal $ from them could get him ejected from the group. His posing as a "dying" character has nothing to do with that. Of course, you would need to be certain that the Shirley and Barrister characters are played by separate lads. If they are played by the same lad he will see what you were trying to do and would likely drop you.
