I was just reading posts and suddenly had an existential slap upside the head -- what's the date today??? April 18???? OMG, that means this is my Eaterversary. My 18th. I joined on April 18, 2004. Two-thousand and four. Some of our current members had only started walking then.

Anyway, I've retired from active baiting after a long career, but I enjoy and appreciate reading about a new generation's exploits in this noble cause. Keep up the great work, everyone!

I looked at that date of 2004 and thought how different my life was back then. It is a long time ago! Then to think you were baiting long before I even knew such things existed makes it seem even further in the past. Congratulations on your long career.

Welcome to the club old man. At this time last year I wasn't so sure I would be around for this moment as I was getting myself mentally prepared for the quadruple bypass surgery scheduled for the next day. Spoiler alert - I lived. Enjoy every sandwich. Time goes by way too fast.
