Didn't think this fit in Main, so I just stuck it in chat. I found this interesting letter in my local newspaper yesterday, from a person who is clearly being taken for a ride into who knows where. (Details changed to protect ITP)

Dear "Business Advice":

I had a job interview that consisted of an email I got one day. I didn't
think that a job offer could be so boring. They typed out the entire
description of the company, the job, responsibilities, etc. Then I had to
type everything that I've done. BUT...the good news is I got the position
as a graphic designer, working for a wealthy lawyer in the UK!

I'm slightly worried that everything I have done is via email, and I haven't
talked with or seen photos of anyone. Apparently, my new manager will
give me a phone call....Should I be worried about not seeing anyone's
face yet?

Money mule scam was my first thought, but "graphic designer" doesn't seem to fit. Designing fake documents?
is always Good when you have the zeal to be a hitwoman when you out of school,it makes you bold and reall and it makes you more high than any other of your friend.
This is definitely why you will remain and die in poverty, ignorant of good things and easy acknowledgment of bad things and words. Shame on you, you wicked generation children.

They did reply, but I tossed out that paper some time back and can only give a brief sketch from memory.

Let's see...the advice writer responded "Sounds suspicious! Be very careful with giving your personal info, demand to see your employer's face, and report fraud if they start sending you money to wire overseas." Not an exact quote, but what I can remember now with the paper gone.

Basically, the advice columnist thought it was a money-mule job.
