Hi everybody! I was into scambaiting before, long time ago (like Shiver Metimbers' era). Last week I was taking a look at my spam folder and found a couple of old style 419ers. I got nostalgic so I revived one of my personae and started being a fake next of kin dealing with a bank and a lawyer. I like classic.

The level of sophistication this community has reached after so many years is nothing short of astonishing. Bravo!

I have a bank account to report, so I'm browsing the forum to find out about current modalities.

Hello there!

I first heard of scam baiting almost a decade ago (I miss 419hell and 419baiter!), and something kept me gravitating to it... enough that I decided to take a more serious stab at it now, with ten extra years of life experience on my shoulders and an improved material standing to boot. While my experience with Reddit's /r/scambait board seems to indicate that remote helpdesk scams and whatsapp/instagram DM scams asking for gift cards are all the rage nowadays, and email scams remain mostly as a DVD-grade niche for late adopters of modern technology that retains its appeal in the modern day partly thanks to the nostalgia factor... I'm not that dedicated to get myself a second phone number for the sole purpose of b8ing, at least not yet

What does o.s.c. stand for? Whatever you want it to! Perhaps it stands for "Occidental Securities Company"... or maybe it's just an abbreviation for Oscar. Who knows? I might use a fake identity incorporating these letters in my baits. I might not. This shouldn't matter ultimately. The less the lads know about me, the better

Hi all,

Sid Greenstreet here. I'm a retread. I was active in baiting and Eater back around 2005 to 2012(?). I'm not too surprised that I had to re-register here, because I've been off for quite awhile.

You might find some of my postings in that time frame under the sgreenstreet nom de plume. I was a mentor and wrote the first baiter's toolbox for new baiters. I helped organize a Chicago & Michigan meetup, and attended the Chicago and Las Vegas meetups. I didn't score any great photo trophies, but got a fake check from New York Presbyterian Hospital for over three million dollars. I believe my biggest coup was probably OPERATION CANCER in which we shutdown an entire internet cafe in Nigeria. ...and did I mention I hung out in the bomb shelter when the vlad's put on a remarkable DDOS that shut down Eater for three weeks?
