Hi everyone, my name is Yomari, very much a Nom de Plume so to speak, inspired by watching a bunch of Monetized Youtube Baiter's videos on YouTube, seeing what he and others do to help is nothing short of inspirational. I've always been a bit of a tech nerd, and finally decided to further educate myself and as such have recently undertaken studies in network and active directory penetration testing and ethical hacking.

I'm definitely new to this whole scambaiting scene and will very likely need some direction, I have ASD too so I apologize in advance if I ever have any difficulty in understanding what someone might be trying to teach me but I assure everyone that I am keen to learn and want to help any way I can to contribute to lessening the harm these scammers cause to innocent people.

I hope that wasn't too much of an introduction, as I said I am totally new here but really hope to be able to engage with the community more in future and do what I can to help. I'm hoping I'm going in the right direction with my studies and that what I learn can be employed to help people and to catch these scammers. If anyone has any tips or suggestions as to what best I'd be suited to study that would help I'd be more than happy to have a discussion in the appropriate forum or via PM.

First of all: here at 419Eater we deal with Advance Fee fraud, and not so much (at all) the 'tech scams', like call centers etc etc.
furthermore, we do not allow any hacking attempts on scammer's computers.

From the rules (which I highly recommend you read)

We do not support the sending of viruses, trojans, or any other malware to the scammers, nor attempts to hack, phish or hijack their email accounts and/or computers. This malware could be unknowingly spread to the computers of innocent people and we are only trying to make it difficult for the scammers. On top of that, the spreading of viruses and hacking attempts is an illegal activity in the UK, where this Board is located, as well as many other jurisdictions. Please do not start topics on such subjects. These threads will be deleted on sight.

Having said that: we are very glad to have you around. Please come hang out with us and see what we are about. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much Bertje! I did read that rule and please rest assured that I'm not looking to breach the rules in any way, certainly not by sending trojans or anything of the sort. The purpose of my studies would be to help to secure potential or past victim networks through spreading whatever knowledge I can as a result of my studies. I'm not saying I'd want access to their systems, exactly the opposite in fact, I want THEM to be the only ones with access to their system. From what little I've seen so far I'm aware that more and more scammers are getting smart and learning some network basics themselves, my aim is to prevent their efforts from bearing fruit through defensive and ethical means.

I'm currently at the point in my course where we're building a VM Lab for attack testing, I hope to pick up the skills needed in order to help prevent these attacks. I already have some ideas for some defensive scripts floating around in my head, it's just a matter of whether or not they're going to be possible. My penntesting is strictly ethical, as I've said for a long time now, there's enough evil in this world without contributing to it ourselves.

Thanks again for the welcome and for the diligence in referencing a rule you thought may be breached. That's the kind of attention we all need to maintain towards this scene as a whole imho.

Another new member here. I've "dabbled" in a bit of scam baiting, but certainly not to the extent of some (many?) here.

Mainly looking for ideas around "improving the craft" as it were. I'm also here for a bit of a laugh (at the scammers being baited, naturally).

Definitely here to learn. Perhaps - in time - add some value also.

Won't post much, at least not initially. Principle being "I have two ears and one mouth...I'll try and use them in proportion!"
