B8er is right. Do not use any account that is associated with your real life to interact with scammers. They will make every effort to glean whatever information they can or make additional contacts for future targets. They are not beyond stealing your photos and creating fake accounts pretending to be you. We say this not just for your protection, but for those you know and love, too.

Somewhat about me:
I am german, what might explain my not so perfect English, but I do my best.
My job is in the defense business wich could be kinda boring and I just stumbled across one of my baiting accounts and remembered that funny time with the African weirdos. My favorite scam is that trunk full of gold or money or people who just want to send me a huge amount of money. (Because I am renovating my house, I need every euro I can get )

I guess I don't need a mentor but there are still some questions:
Ten years ago the mission was to get the lads from Western Union to moneygram. Because there where some sheets and forms where one can fake a money transfer. I remember card receips hanging over the money transfer number, spilled coffee or eddingmarker over the number.
Is that still common practice or is that out of date?

Welcome back! Unfortunately the lads simply need to use their mobile phone to check the validity of an MTCN or reference number and there is no need for them to go visit any office or bank. Have a look around, though, three's lots of other options to cause the lads pain.

Additionally, every country has scammers, including those outside Africa.

Thanks, actually the bait that hooked me forever was the Martins Cole saga, from a year or so earlier. It was posted on another site. My husband and I still joke with each other, "I will dead you!"

I see in your signature icons you've got a "bank" and "credit card" icon - definitely report those bank accounts to a mod (we're the ones in green) so we can turn them over to the proper authorities, and do let us know if you get a good rant from your frustrated lads!
